Since 1722, the Race for Doggett’s Coat and Badge has been organised by the Fishmongers’ Company, with support from the Company of Watermen and Lightermen.

In recent years, organisations with interest in the River Thames have also become involved in the race, including Thames Tideway Tunnel and London Youth Rowing.

It is the support and dedication of everyone involved in Doggett’s throughout the years that has kept one of the oldest annual sporting events in the world alive. Other supporters of the 2015 race include Cluttons & Harold Pinchbeck
